How to Use AltDeploy to Install IPA Files on iPhone or iPad

Sideloading is the process of using tools like AltDeploy to install apps on your iPhone or iPad using.IPA files. The most popular tool for sideloading apps was Cydia Impactor, however it hasn’t been functional in a few months.

Fortunately, a new tool called AltDeploy has been released that works similarly to Cydia Impactor but is a far superior option because it has a few of other essential capabilities that Cydia Impactor lacked.

Because many signing services are having trouble keeping apps signed for an extended period of time, side loading is now the best way to avoid this issue. If you’re looking for a tutorial on how to sideload apps using AltDeploy, look no further. We’ll walk you through the full process of side loading any IPA file with this new tool.

Before we get started, let’s go over some of AltDeploy’s limitations:

As of this writing, the tool is only compatible with Mac OS X.
There are a total of three apps that you can side load.
Every seven days, apps must be re-signed.

Once you’ve downloaded the file, it’ll be format, which means you’ll need to unpack it.

Simply double-click the AltDeploy file to extract the contents.

Followed by a double-click on the AltDeploy file that you previously extracted in order to launch the application

A USB cable is required to connect your iPhone, iPad, or iPad mini to your computer. The app should be able to recognize and display the iOS device that has been connected, as demonstrated below.

4. Browse and select the IPA file to install

When the dropdown menu says “No file selected,” select Browse from the list that appears. After that, navigate to and choose the IPA file that you desire to install.

5. Install the Mail Plugin if applicable

A prompt occurs if this is the first time you’ve used AltDeploy and it asks you to install a Mail app plugin in order for the programmed to work properly. When prompted, enter your computer’s password after clicking on the Install option to begin the process.

6. Open the Mail preferences and go to “Manage Plug-ins

Once the update has been completed, re-open the Mail application and select Preferences. Navigate to the General tab and select Manage Plug-ins from the drop-down menu.

7. Enable AltPlugin.mailbundle

Select the AltPlugin.mailbundle plugin and then click on the Apply and Restart Mail button to complete the installation. Keep in mind that the Mail application should be open at all times when you are using AltDeploy to send emails.

8. Click the Start button in AltDeploy

Launch the AltDeploy app again and press the Start button to begin installing the IPA on the iOS device that has been connected previously.

Depending on how large the application is, the procedure may take a few minutes.

9. Enter your Apple ID and password if prompted

This is the first time you’ll be requested to provide your Apple ID and password. This information is necessary to generate a signing certificate for the app, which you’ll need to install it after it’s been successfully downloaded.

Take note that if you do not want to use your primary Apple ID due to security concerns, you can create an alternate Apple ID and use that instead.

10. Verify your Apple ID profile

The installation will be kicked off by AltDeploy. Upon completion, the app should show on the Home screen of your iPhone or iPad.

Verifying the profile is required prior to using the app. Go to Settings > General > Profiles on your iOS device, touch on the profile named after your Apple ID, and then click Trust.

You may now launch the app by returning to the Home screen and tapping on it.

In order to sideload and install IPA files on your iOS device, you just need to follow these steps: As soon as you have the hang of the procedure, you may effortlessly install applications on the move.

This is the finest replacement for Cydia Impactor by far. AltDeploy is one of my favourite sideloading tools since it remembers your Apple ID and password so you don’t have to type it in every time. There are no limits on the number of Apple IDs you may add to your account.
